Sam Hecht and Kim Colin
Celebrated for their ability to create beauty out of utility, Sam Hecht and Kim Colin have both been awarded Royal Designers for Industry by the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce.
At Industrial Facility, the studio founded by Sam Hecht and Kim Colin in 2002, every step of the design process is about cutting through the extraneous. “We’re not setting out to produce something different but rather, something better,” says Colin. “We’re creating designs that will last and give satisfaction beyond what is often called for by the customer.”

Platform Tray
Designed with duality in mind, the Platform Tray can sit on a surface to hold special objects, raising them up on a platform, or it can be picked up and used as a serving tray.
